About MRM
AN INTRODUCTION TO M.R.M

As long ago as 1986, it was recognised that the need existed for a specialised Cargo Loss Control unit to be established in a bid to reduce or eliminate entirely the losses and subsequent claims traditionally associated with Bulk Cargoes - whether dry bulk or petroleum.

With this in mind Marine Risk Management S.A. was established in 1986 in order to combat such losses - from whatever source - and to guard and protect Clients interests at all stages of the cargo custody transfer procedure. Subsequently, and as a result of developing close ties with major law firms throughout the world, the available services were expanded to include:

  • Maritime Asset Recovery and Protection.
  • Aviation Asset Recovery and Protection.
  • Anti-Hijack.

M.R.M PERSONNEL

As may be expected, all MRM staff are highly trained, fully qualified professionals possessing vast experience and expertise in their respective specialisations.

In all instances relating to Cargo Loss Control and MARAP, MRM Superintendents have each served many years at sea - none below the rank of Chief Officer, and most in the capacity as Master - so that Clients may have the utmost confidence in their capabilities. This wealth of experience has been subsequently further enhanced by exposure to shore practices and commercial awareness.

It will therefore be clearly evident that MRM Superintendents possess an unrivalled expertise designed to fully protect and, indeed, enhance Clients' interests.

AARAP pilots and personnel are all highly experienced aviation professionals, type-rated for virtually all private and commercial aircraft.

Anti-Hijack teams possess all the specialised skills necessary to quickly, efficiently and discreetly neutralise Maritime Piracy, Terrorist and Hijack attempts.

Such skills are backed by a highly efficient operational and administrative staff. Carefully selected and trained in the complexities of the work involved, they ensure rapid, effective communications at all stages of an assignment and an unequalled response time.

Detailed CV's of all personnel (with the exception of Anti-Hijack Staff) are available upon request.
