The incidence of piracy at sea is increasing.
The cost of piracy is growing even faster:
- Theft of cargoes.
- Death or injury to crew.
- Cargoes recovered damaged.
- Theft of or damage to ships
- Risk of pollution incident
- Danger of collision (involving more than just the pirated vessel)
Piracy is now big business, highly organised on commercial lines.
Until now, there has been no organisation offering an organised, hands-on, response to piracy able to intervene rapidly to counter and respond to pirate attacks. As a result, pirates are, literally, getting away with murder.
The Marine Risk Management Group has spent the last 5 years developing a programmed response to piracy. Drawing together our unique expertise in locating and recovering ships for mortgagee banks, high-technology satellite ship tracking systems, and military special forces skills, we are ready to put our Rapid Response Force into service.
